The County of Alameda proposes an ordinance amending the San Lorenzo Village Center Specific Plan to permit one publicly owned and operated fire station within Subarea 5A and to waive Site Development Review requirements for fire stations under specific size and height thresholds. The amendment would allow a fire station of less than 10,000 square feet in combined building and accessory areas, less than 50 feet in height, and with a floor area ratio below 0.25. This action would enable the Alameda County Fire Department to pursue building permits for new construction to relocate Fire Station No. 22 from 377 Paseo Grande to a new site at 587 Paseo Grande in the unincorporated San Lorenzo area.
