Construction of approximately 2,703 linear feet of 5-foot-wide sidewalk, installation of related storm structures and piping, driveway and street crosswalk striping, LED crosswalks, concrete retaining walls, a Contech 26-foot by 5-foot steel pedestrian bridge, and required grading. Bidders must obtain the bidding documents from the issuing office and be on record as having received them. A copy of a current Utility Contractor License issued by the State of Georgia and a non-refundable payment is required for obtaining the documents. Bidders must also provide a letter from their Surety Company verifying bonding capacity. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount equivalent to five percent of the total contract amount or a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in an equal amount. Performance and Payment Bonds, each at least equal to 110 percent of the contract amount, and a Certification of Insurance are required. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 120 days, with completion and readiness for final payment required within 150 days from commencement. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to re-advertise. No person shall be excluded from participation, denied benefits, or subjected to discrimination on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or handicap/disability.
