Renovation of a conference / convention center in Milladore, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6,200-square-foot conference / convention center.

The work consists of replacing the heating and cooling systems in the 6,200 square foot Stanton W. Mead Education and Visitor Center at the George W. Mead Wildlife Area. The existing horizontal geothermal wellfield will be purged, capped, and abandoned, and the associated water-to-air and water-to-water heat pumps within the building will be demolished. New forced air furnaces will be installed where the air-side heat pumps were removed to serve the existing duct systems, with DX condensing units located outside on grade. New boilers, hot water pumps, and accessories will be installed where the water-to-water heat pumps were removed to serve the existing radiant floor systems. Electrical connections will be modified as required for the installation of the new systems. A new LP tank and exterior LP piping will be installed by others; the scope for this project begins where the LP piping enters the mechanical rooms and will serve the new furnaces and boilers. All potential bidders must be certified by the Department of Administration prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. All bids from non-certified contractors will be rejected. Certification instructions and forms are available via the DOA website. Bids must be submitted as a PDF scanned file via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred method), by U.S. Mail or third-party delivery, or via hand delivery to the designated drop box. The bidder is responsible for ensuring the sealed bid is delivered to the correct location or submitted before the deadline. Third-party delivery is at the bidder's risk. Construction bidding documents are available as downloadable electronic files through the Division of Facilities Development website. Electronic processing of contract offer and construction phase records will occur via eBuilder. State prevailing wage requirements do not apply, but Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements are unaffected. Bidders shall bring any inadequacies, omissions, or conflicts to the Architect/Engineer's attention at least ten (10) days before MEP bidding commences. If a project does not include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection divisions of work, bidders shall bring such matters to the Architect/Engineer's attention at least ten (10) days before the GPC bid opening. Prompt clarification will be supplied to all bidders of record by addendum. For Bid Portal-specific questions or concerns, please contact doadfdmbidsubmission@wisconsin.go
