Renovation of a municipal facility in Milladore, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Question Deadline 06/01/2026 No verbal explanation or instructions will be given in regard to the meaning of the drawings or specifications during the bid period. Bidders shall bring inadequacies, omissions or conflicts to the Architect/Engineer's attention at least ten (10) days before the date set for bid opening. In general, the work consists of: Replacement of the heating and cooling systems in the 6200 square foot Stanton W. Mead Education and Visitor Center at the George W. Mead Wildlife Area. The existing horizontal geothermal wellfield will be purged, capped and abandoned, and the associated water to air heat pumps and water to water heat pumps within the building will be demolished. New forced air furnaces will be installed where the air-side heat pumps were removed to serve the existing duct systems with DX condensing units located outside on grade. New boilers, hot water pumps, and accessories will be installed where the water-to-water heat pumps were removed to serve the existing radiant floor systems. A new LP tank and exterior LP piping will be installed by others - the scope of this project will begin where LP piping enters the mechanical rooms. LP piping will serve the new furnaces and boilers. Electrical connections will be modified as required for the installation of the new systems. All potential bidders must be certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects over $100,000. All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected. Contractor certification applications and instructions for completing the form may be obtained from the Online. Only bidders who have been certified by DOA as a qualified and responsible bidder in the MECHANICAL division of work may bid on this project. This project is being let using a new single trade bidding and contracting process. When 85% or more of the construction cost of a project could be completed by a Single Trade Contractor (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection), the Department may bid and contract all work of that construction project directly to a Single Trade Contractor. The State will enter into a single contract with the lowest, qualified, responsible, certified single trade MEP contractor. Single trade MEP contractors may bid on single trade projects up to their current division of work certification level for that trade. All Work for this project will be awarded to a single trade MECHANICAL contractor. Bidders shall submit a Single Base Bid for all Work. PDF scanned file of all required bid documents, including bid and bid bond forms with original wet signatures or properly transmitted electronic signatures (only PDF files will be accepted) submitted via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (this is the preferred method) The bidder is responsible for the sealed bid being delivered to the indicated location or submitted via the Online before the time specified for the bid submission. Third party delivery is entirely at the bidder's risk. In general the work consists of replacing four (4) 90-ton rooftop air conditioning units serving the Event Halls at the State Fair Exposition Center which was constructed in 2002 and is approximately 300,000 square feet. The Event Halls are served by fourteen (14) 90-ton rooftop air conditioning units. Associated work includes the following trades: gas piping, sheet metal ductwork, insulation, temperature controls, testing and balancing, electrical, structural roof reinforcement, roofing repairs and hoisting. Base Bids will be received as follows: A single lump sum bid for All Work. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted. Contract offer, and construction phase records will be processed electronically via Online. The application of the 5% permissive bidding preference pursuant to Wis. Stat. 16.855(10m)(1m)3. for certified minority businesses in currently paused. Bidding Documents will be available online immediately upon the project being advertised for bid.
