Site work for a water / sewer project in Great Falls, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of the Downtown Drainage Improvements - Phase 3 (O.F. 1779.2). The project consists of the following: removal of existing surfacing, storm drain piping, and manholes; subsurface concrete removal; installation of 8" PVC storm drain laterals, 12" PVC storm drain laterals, 18" PVC storm drain, 24" PVC storm drain, and 42" RCP storm drain; installation of fourteen 48" concrete manholes and one 72" concrete manhole; storm drain curb inlets; 3/4" to 6" water service line replacements; 3/4" to 2" curb stop replacements; installation of 6", 8", and 12" C900 PVC water main; installation of 4", 6", and 12" gate valves; five fire hydrant assemblies (including six gate valves); replacement of concrete curb and gutter; replacement of 4" and 6" concrete sidewalk; Central Avenue street reconstruction (between 2nd Street South and 4th Street South); 2nd Street reconstruction (between Central Avenue and 1st Alley North); asphalt street patching (4th Street and 5th Street); and pavement markings. Bidders must obtain contract documents in accordance with provided instructions. Registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry is required prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and mechanics must be paid wages as required by the laws of the City of Great Falls and the State of Montana. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Great Falls in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid. Successful bidders shall furnish approved Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount. Required insurance must be provided and proof submitted. All contractors and subcontractors must be licensed to work in the City of Great Falls prior to contract award. Bids may not be withdrawn after the scheduled opening. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, postpone the award up to 60 days, and accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the best interest of the City.
