Renovation of a multi-residential development in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,100-square-foot, one-story above grade multi-residential development.

This project will renovate the Housing Administration space on the first floor of Sproul Hall into a new student mailroom. The project will relocate the Delta Terrace mailroom to the Housing Services area on the first floor of Sproul Hall. The Housing Services area, totaling approximately 4,100 gsf, will be repurposed to create a new mail and package distribution center. The new mailroom will include approximately 550 secured, self-service locker compartments for delivering and collecting packages for automated student pick-up. The mailroom will also include a back-of-house area for staff to sort and distribute packages to their assigned locker compartments. The Housing Services Center, currently located in the space, is to be demolished. All interior walls, ceilings, casework, light fixtures, mechanical diffusers, carpet, and other finishes are to be removed, unless noted otherwise. All items related to the systems serving other areas or the building at large are to remain in place, including gyp furring and rated walls that conceal and/or protect these existing items. New energy-efficient lighting shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor throughout, along with new mechanical diffusers and connections, data and security systems, and adjustments to the fire alarm and sprinkler systems as needed to accommodate the new layout. Sproul Hall shall remain fully operational and occupied throughout the project. Pre-qualification requirements: The successful Bidder will be required to have a California current and active B License (General Building) at the time of submission of the Bid. Bidders must have the minimum experience set forth in the Prequalification Questionnaire contained in the Bidding Documents and posted on the UCLA Online Planroom website. Bidder's completed Prequalification Questionnaire must be received at the specified University Contracts Administration office or uploaded to the UCLA Online Planroom website by the designated time. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors must follow the nondiscrimination requirements and pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The contractor is expected to make best efforts to provide qualified small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) with maximum opportunity to participate. Evidence of an equal employment opportunity policy may be required. The work described is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code, and compliance with all applicable working condition requirements is required, including paying no less than the UC Fair Wage. prebid-1 346 248 7799 US (Houston) 1 602 753 0140 US (Phoenix) 1 720 928 9299 US (Denver) 1 301 715 8592 US (Washington DC) 1 312 626 6799 US (Chicago) 1 470 250 9358 US (Atlanta) 1 646 558 8656 US (New York) 1 651 372 8299 US (Minnesota) 1 786 635 1003 US (Miami) Find your local number: https://ucla.zoom.us/u/adJIVaI7XH
