Sealed bids are requested for the Pump Station Fire Hardening Improvement Project. The work includes furnishing labor, equipment, and materials for the installation of pump station doors, screens, and sealing at 67 different pump stations within Marin County, California. The contractor must possess a valid Class A or B Contractor's license in California at the time the contract is awarded. Bidders must submit all bid documents on provided forms and include a certified check, cash, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount no less than ten percent of the total bid, as a guarantee of prompt contract execution and furnishing of required bonds if awarded the contract. Only contractors and subcontractors registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) are eligible. Compliance with prevailing wage requirements, as determined by the District, is mandatory. The contract is subject to DIR compliance monitoring. Proposals are generally considered for the complete job only. Bidder insurance must meet contract requirements, and a completed Additional Insured Endorsement must be secured. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project name and contract number. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities.
