Demolition, site work and remodeling of a fire / police facility in Lake Lure, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the remodel of a fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete construction as shown in the Contract Documents for the Fire Station 2 Remodel. Work includes, but is not limited to: o Demolition as indicated o Construction in accordance with permit drawings o Life safety and code-compliant improvements o Installation of all required systems and finishes Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The bid deposit may be in the form of cash, a certified check, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in North Carolina. The successful bidder shall furnish: o Performance Bond (100%) o Payment Bond (100%) All questions must be submitted in writing to: Dustin Waycaster, Emergency Services Director dwaycaster@townoflakelure.com Deadline for questions: April 29, 2026 at 12:00PM The Contractor shall achieve substantial completion within 180 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages, if applicable, will be assessed at a rate of $1,000 per day for failure to complete the work within the contract time. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
