Renovation of a military facility in US Air Force, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

This effort involves a comprehensive upgrade of a proprietary, campus-wide Fire Alarm Reporting System to modernize network communications, improve reliability, and eliminate legacy dialer-based reporting. The existing system consists of a Honeywell Notifier fire alarm network with ONYXWORKS(TM) workstations integrated with a legacy Radionics alarm system. The work requires providing all personnel, equipment, supervision, and materials necessary to execute a full network upgrade in accordance with a Government-provided Performance Work Statement, with an anticipated period of performance of twelve months from contract award. Due to the proprietary nature of the infrastructure, the work requires the use of brand name Honeywell Notifier equipment and services and must be performed by a factory-authorized Honeywell Notifier Engineered Systems Distributor with the appropriate training, software access, and administrative rights. The scope includes replacing existing fire alarm control panels that are incompatible with the upgraded high-speed network and performing system-wide firmware updates on remaining panels. High-speed fiber-optic network communication modules will be installed to enable modern IP-based connectivity across the system. New intelligent gateway interfaces for the ONYXWORKS(TM) system will be installed, programmed, and fully tested to support enhanced network communications and monitoring capabilities. The work also includes designing and installing a complete wireless network solution for approximately ten buildings that lack fiber-optic connectivity, using enterprise-grade wireless radio technology suitable for life-safety systems. In addition, the legacy Radionics alarm system must be analyzed and either integrated into or replaced by the upgraded network so that all alarm points are migrated to the modern Fire Alarm Reporting System, eliminating reliance on dialer-based reporting. The contractor will be responsible for comprehensive system testing and for managing a phased network cutover to the upgraded architecture. All testing and transition activities must ensure continuous, uninterrupted life-safety monitoring, with no loss of fire alarm reporting or system functionality during the migration. Performance is anticipated to be 12 months from contract award. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
