Renovation of a mixed-use development in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Bid is Cancelled . Amendment 0001 revises language within the Statement of Work for the replacement of ceiling-mounted patient lift systems. The contractor shall provide all design, site evaluation, labor, materials, equipment, and installation necessary to remove and replace existing Liko ceiling lift motors, rails, tracks, pendants, and ceiling supports with brand name or equal Guldmann ceiling lift systems. A total of 133 existing Liko systems are being replaced, with the new configuration reducing the number of motors to 117 due to higher weight capacity. The work includes removal of preexisting motors, tracks, pendants, and supports, with removed motors to remain onsite and all other components to be disposed of by the contractor. Installation must account for numerous existing utility systems above the ceiling, and contractors are strongly encouraged to conduct a thorough site evaluation prior to proposal submission. The replacement supports compliance with Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Directive 1611 and ensures a single standard of care throughout the facility by transitioning to a single-vendor lift system. All parts, labor, and service calls are covered for an initial three-year period, batteries are covered for five years, motors have an expected lifespan of fifteen years, and rail systems have an expected lifespan of twenty-five years, with an option to extend warranty coverage. Location: Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711. Questions are due by Friday, May 1st at 2:00 PM Eastern to the POC in Block 7a. Performance of Period: The awarded vendor shall complete the work required under this SOW in 365 days or less from date of award, unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). If the contractor proposes an earlier completion date, and the Government accepts the contractor's proposal, the contractor's proposed completion date shall prevail.
