Renovation of a mixed-use development in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
This project includes all necessary work to install a new chiller plant at the Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center in accordance with Department of Veterans Affairs requirements, industry standards, and all applicable code requirements. Work entails construction of a building addition housing three chillers, cooling towers, backup diesel generators with fuel storage, relocation of the bulk oxygen tank, and parking realignment and site access modifications associated with the new plant and utility support systems. All systems must be complete, functional, and energy-efficient to the maximum extent practical, including any system partially modified by the project. All work must comply with the specifications, drawings, and all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations. The maximum time for completion is 600 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. $10,000,000 and $20,000,000.
