The District is seeking a symmetrical, fiber-based Internet connection with an initial bandwidth of 4 Gbps, with the technical capacity to scale up to 6 Gbps during the contract term. The WAN connection will be 4 Gbps between the Wilkes-Barre Area School and GAR Middle School. All bidders must have a valid Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) and be in good standing with the FCC. One (1) original copy of the proposal shall be submitted for consideration to the Wilkes Barre Area School to the attention of: Thomas Telesz, Business Manager, Wilkes-Barre Area School District, 730 South Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711-0375. The envelope containing the bids are to be marked "2026 Erate INET and WAN RFP." Minority-owned, women-owned and local enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals in response to this solicitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award of any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement.
