Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project provides for rehabilitation of dual, adjacent single-span bridges carrying railroad traffic over the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Work items include, but are not limited to: 5600 SF High Strength Fiber Wrap 8 CY Class AA Cement Concrete 1005 LB Reinforcement Bars, Epoxy Coated 269 LF Protective Fence 269 LF Removal of Existing Protective Fence 936 LB Fabricated Structural Steel 250 SF Class AA Cement Concrete Repairs 100 LF Epoxy Injection Crack Seal 986 SF Epoxy Aggregate Overlay This project is located on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Milepost A-117.54, approximately 2.9 miles north of the Wyoming Valley Interchange, Exit 115 and approximately 4.1 miles south of the Keyser Ave Toll Plaza, Exit 122, in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Question Deadline 02/04/2026 at 12:00 PM ET Any questions for this project must be submitted electronically in online by noon on the Wednesday before the bid opening date. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract. Cost Range: $1,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
