The Needham Street Waterline Replacement Project involves replacing approximately 650 linear feet of aging two-inch galvanized iron waterlines within the water distribution system. The work includes abandonment of the existing line and installation of a new two-inch PVC water line, including replacement of all service connections along the route. Interested bidders are invited to submit separate informal bids for this project. Bids may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Office of the Engineer at 201 S Tryon Street, Suite #800, Charlotte NC 28202, or submitted by email to Lauren Rudd at lrudd@withersravenel.com. As these are informal bids, there is no public reading or opening of bids or requirement of a 5% bid bond per NCGS 143-129. Complete digital bidding documents are available for download for $25.00 by entering Quest project #10189471 at www.questcdn.com. The deadline to submit questions on the project is 4/7/2026 5:00 pm. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
