Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The Township of Bloomfield seeks experienced Historic Restoration General Contractors who specialize in slate roof restoration and repair, copper flashing and hung gutter repair and restoration, finish carpentry restoration, window restoration, and surface preparation and painting of historic buildings to perform specific tasks in the restoration of the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center. This property is listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of the Historic Places. All prospective bidders must demonstrate experience in the successful completion of projects of a similar scope and nature that followed the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Hickey of Connolly & Hickey Historical Architects, LLC at 973-7464911, extension 109 The project consists of the following elements: 1. Selective demolition and salvaging; 2. Restoration and repair of slate roofing; 3. Sensitive installation of new copper flashings; 4. Restoration of copper hung gutters to match historic configurations and detailing; 5. Rough and finish carpentry repairs and restoration; 6. Restoration of wood windows; and 7. Surface preparation and painting of historic painted surfaces.
