For purposes of this solicitation, the University hereby establishes an overall goal of 30%for MWBE participation, 11% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) participation and 19%for Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBEs and WBEs). The project involves providing all labor, material, equipment, and services necessary to renovate the existing warehouse space and an addition of a 3,900 square foot new construction at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. All work must be completed within 500 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) applies, and the low bidder must execute and abide by its terms. Only contractors who attend the mandatory site visit will be eligible to bid. Bidders must submit their proposals via Jaggaer in accordance with the Information for Bidders and provide bid security not less than five percent of the total bid. The policy encourages participation from minority business enterprises, and includes goals for service-disabled veteran-owned, minority, and women business enterprises.
