The project consists of placing approximately 122,500 square yards of asphalt Type II slurry seal on residential and collector streets. Responsibilities include cleaning streets and cracks, providing notice to businesses and residents prior to application, and providing all traffic control. Instructions to bidders include submitting sealed bids with the bidder's name and project title on the envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check for five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. All bid documents, plans, and specifications are available at www.publicpurchase.com, and bidders must select "Add me to Plan Holders" to receive documents. Bids must remain valid for thirty (30) days after opening. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, make substitutions, and waive informalities and technicalities as deemed in the city's best interest.
