Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wolcott, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Town of Wolcott requests bids from qualified contractors for asphalt-rubber surface treatment stress absorbing membrane (SAM) for up to 10 miles of Town roadways. The work includes labor, equipment, and materials and must be performed in accordance with Connecticut statutes governing prevailing wage rates as applicable. Sealed bids must be clearly marked with the project name and include the name and address of the bidder. Bids should be delivered to the specified location by the deadline, after which they will be opened and read publicly. This guide specification provides requirements to construct asphalt rubber chip seals. An asphalt rubber chip seal is the application of a combined reacted mixture of hot paving grade asphalt and ground rubber, followed immediately by an application of a single layer of pre-coated aggregate, (see Section VI for project details) Questions and answers will be provided to all firms who have requested ITB packages.
