Respondents should note that staff of the Town's Department of Public Works will take the lead in terms of preparing Preliminary Designs and eventually, if future funding is secured, for Final Design, Permitting, Bid Document preparation, Review of Bids and Construction Oversight as well. The Scope of Work for respondents to this RFP includes the following tasks, but is not limited to 1. To kick off the project participate in a site visit in early-to-mid April to be scheduled by the Town followed by a 1 hour in-person meeting at the Town Hall to debrief. 2. Inspection of the existing culvert and site. 3. Review the Town Codes and Standards, Hydraulic Study, Conceptual Plans, and the ANR Rivers Management requirements and standards. 4. Develop a preliminary design based on conceptual plans including design details, special requirements. 5. Develop contract plans, technical specifications, final engineer's estimate and bid documents and assist with the bidding process. 6. Limited assistance during construction. The Town of St. Albans requests proposals for engineering services for Preliminary and Final Design to support construction of a new stream culvert on Fairfax Street at Collins-Perley Sports Complex, approximately 324 meters west of its intersection with North Fairfax Road (U.S. Route 104).
