Sealed proposals are requested for the removal and replacement of an 18' x 50' concrete driveway apron at Columbia Hose Co. #5, 2 South Main Street, Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. Project drawings and specifications are available at PennBid. Bidders are required to submit proposals with a certified check, certified bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond equal to 10% of the base bid. A satisfactory corporation surety must be provided, naming the City of Carbondale as payee or obligee. Additional requirements include signing and notarizing a Non-Collusion Affidavit of Contractor prior to contract award, and a no-lien agreement must be signed and filed before work begins. The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442. All proposals must be irrevocable for sixty days after opening and include a 10% bid guaranty.
