Dade County is soliciting qualifications from firms able to provide services including, but not limited to, concept report preparation and validation, park planning, trail and recreation facility design, landscaping, site development, surveys and mapping, preliminary construction plans, final construction plans, erosion control plans, permit assistance, and related services. Services may also include design and construction support for park improvements such as athletic court resurfacing, parking lot and trail resurfacing, sports and security lighting, drainage improvements, and related infrastructure upgrades. Typical projects may include development of the scope of construction; preparation of concept, preliminary, and final design documents; environmental documentation; coordination of utilities; preparation of specifications and bid documents; and contract administration. Typical projects will generally fall into categories of parks and recreation facilities, trailheads and access facilities, trails (pedestrian or multi-use), recreational site development and passive recreation areas, and park improvements and rehabilitation (including resurfacing, lighting, and facility upgrades). All proposed firms must submit an original and four copies of their proposal in the specified order and provide proof of authorization to do business in Georgia with all necessary, valid, and current licenses required for the services proposed. Proposals should include a brief history and overview of the firm, experience with Federally Assisted Projects and relevant outdoor design services, contact references, resumés of key personnel, methodology and approach, organizational chart, statement of current workload and financial strength, litigation history, rate schedule, and other pertinent information. Failure to submit a complete proposal as specified may result in disqualification.
