Site work for a water / sewer project in Drumheller, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Town seeks innovative proposals to remove accumulated sludge from Cell 1 at the Town’s wastewater treatment facility. The work includes dewatering the recovered sludge and disposing of solids at an approved facility. The desludging must occur while the lagoon remains operational, ensuring protection of the in-situ aeration system, piping, and liner. The scope identifies roughly 2,737 m³ of sludge to be removed, according to a previous sludge survey. Proponents must propose a compliant disposal pathway (such as a Class II landfill or other) and explain how any filtrate produced during dewatering will be managed safely.
