Indiana University is requesting qualifications from qualified contractors for Project #20251164 BL000B Multi-Building - Willkie A, B, and C - Interiors and Infrastructure Upgrades on the Indiana University Bloomington campus. The selection process consists of three stages: an initial qualifications-based review (RFQ), a more in-depth review of proposals (RFP), and interviews for shortlisted firms. The project is to renovate the Willkie Quadrangle located on 150 N. Rose Avenue on the IU Bloomington Campus. Willkie Quad was constructed in 1965, subsequently renovated in 1998, consisting of 636 student rooms with 714 beds in three separate buildings, BL301- Willkie A (North), BL297 - Willkie B (South), and BL299 - Willkie C (Center), with a gross area totaling about 325,344 square feet, or 119,951, 120,091 and 85,302 square footages respectively. This is a comprehensive building re-lifting project that addresses the University's growing need for updated housing on the Bloomington campus. The Willkie Quad complex is one of the last residence halls on the Bloomington campus slated for a major renovation. The scope of work includes full renovation of student rooms and renewal of elevators, roofs, stair towers, and necessary infrastructure upgrades of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. Existing public spaces and amenities will be refreshed alongside accessibility improvements, audio/video, and access control and security systems upgrades as required.
