The State of Minnesota is requesting proposal(s) for a Mechanical engineering service for a pre-design for determining replacement of the existing boilers/heating system with ground source heat pump (GSHP). This effort is to significantly reduce utility costs, reduce greenhouse emissions, and to follow the SB2030 standards along with the 2023 IRA and 2025 OBBBA at the Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF) Shakopee, Minnesota. ** Site visit info : Pre-registration for Mandatory Site Visit Meeting deadline: Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Consultant(s) must complete the Application packet for facility access (available in SWIFT) and must be submitted via email at least 5 business days in advance of preproposal site visit to Cynthia Cotes at Cynthia.Cotes@state.mn.us (DOC) and Laura Haag at laura.haag@state.mn.us.(RECS) The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
