The project involves furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to construct access drives and a substation pad for Point of Delivery 5 (POD 5). The scope includes all required cutting, filling, grading, compaction, and soil stabilization, as well as grubbing designated road and pad areas. The top 0-12 inches of topsoil in the access road and pad areas must be removed and replaced with Owner-approved soil. The Contractor is required to hire a licensed North Carolina Geotechnical Engineer for compaction testing. While tree clearing and initial erosion control will be done by the Owner, the Contractor is responsible for maintaining all existing erosion control devices. All stone for construction must be installed, with final removal of erosion control and permanent seeding to occur later in coordination with the Owner.
