Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Marion, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Southside Food Truck Park project. The contract consists of the construction of a concrete plaza, stage with shelter structure, activity lawn, curbs, lighting, electrical outlets, custom signage, and landscaping. The work to be performed and the bid to be submitted shall include all general construction, mechanical installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and all items incidental to and required for the construction of the facilities. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the project title, bidder's name and address, and the division of work indicated. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the Contract Documents and Specifications, and must include all required information. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the total highest aggregate bid. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price, executed by an acceptable surety company, will be required. All bids must also include a written employee drug testing program compliant with state requirements. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept any bid or combination of bids, and to waive informalities. No conditional or qualified bids will be accepted. Award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder. All Contractors or Sub-Contractors awarded work in excess of $300,000 must be pre-qualified with the Indiana Public Works Certification Board. Bidders are responsible for site inspection and familiarizing themselves with the Contract Documents and Specifications. For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents. Bidders shall submit all questions to the Engineer in writing via email to Christina Ellett at: cellett@hwcengineering.com. Any questions received via email will be answered in the form of an Addendum submitted to all plan-holders. Questions will be taken until 5:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, May 26th ,2026
