The project consists of providing specialized equipment and pick up/disposal services for garbage and recycle materials. The District requires specialized equipment for a hydraulic compactor to collect and dispose of approximately 80 tons of garbage annually and an enclosed container to collect and dispose of approximately 15 tons of recycle material annually. The compactor service must not remove the container from school grounds before 1:30pm and must return it no later than 6:00am the following morning. Both containers must be placed in the same location as current equipment. Instructions to bidders: Proposals must include business and contact information; description of specialized equipment and assignment of maintenance responsibilities; client references and local examples of similar equipment; turnaround time for container pickup and return; a complete list of costs for compactor and recycle services including pickups, equipment leases/rental, administrative charges; an estimate of the number of annual pickups based on provided tonnage; expected time for equipment installation; and a statement of willingness to enter into a service contract. Proposers should avoid submitting proposals that are not easily duplicated. Additional beneficial information is welcome. Alternate proposals may be considered if the District retains ownership and maintenance of permanent on-site equipment, and all relevant proposal requirements must still be met.
