Sealed bids will be received for furnishing all labor and materials, and performing all work required by Mobile County for Project: Lott Road - RRR, Project No.: MCR-2024-011. Sixty (60) working days are allowed for the construction of the project. Bids must be submitted on forms provided in the specifications and in their entirety. A cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bidder's bond, payable to Mobile County, Alabama, for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), is required as a bid guaranty. The bidder's bond must be on the specified form and issued by a surety company authorized in Alabama. The project is bid excluding taxes and requires compliance with applicable Alabama laws and Department of Revenue requirements. A performance bond and a labor and materials bond, each in the amount not less than the contract price and in forms approved by the County, are required at contract signing. A certificate of insurance coverage must be provided at contract signing. The right is reserved to reject any and/or all bids, waive informalities, and furnish any item of material or work to change the contract amount. Liquidated damages for non-completion within the time limit will be assessed according to contract terms. No specifications will be issued later than twenty-four hours before the bid deadline.
