Site work and paving for a water / sewer project in South Lake Tahoe, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for paving for a water / sewer project.
The work to be performed consists of: the installation of approximately 8700 linear feet of 16-inch diameter Class 250 ductile iron waterline pipe, and an additional 500 linear feet of 12-inch and 8-inch diameter pipe, three pressure reducing valve stations, 13 hydrants, completion of five interties, 48,000 square feet of paving, temporary traffic control and stormwater pollution prevention plan compliance measures. The project is being funded, in part, by a grant from the EPA’s Community Grants Program, a grant from the USDA Forest Service under the authority of the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act, and a California Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Loan. The Contractor will be required to comply with State and federal contract rules and regulations including requirements for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and American Iron and Steel (AIS) as detailed in Section 00 73 00, Supplementary Conditions. The prime contractor is required to provide documentation that the local U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and/or the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce were notified of the contracting opportunity, when possible, at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the bid opening date. A bid will be considered non-responsive unless it includes the forms required in Section 00 20 00 Instructions to Bidders and Section 00 73 00 Supplementary Conditions to be completed and submitted with the Bid.
