This project aims to mitigate wildfire risks to the critical infrastructure within and around the project area, as well as enhance the safety of the surrounding community. By strategically treating the landscape, this project will not only reduce fuel loads but also create defensible space that supports fire suppression efforts during a wildfire event. Additionally, the project will benefit the adjacent neighborhood and the nearby wildlife center by reducing the potential for catastrophic wildfires, which could threaten both human and wildlife. Through careful planning, permitting, and implementation, we will modify fire behavior to support suppression efforts, enhance forest resilience, and increase the vigor of the residual stand. In doing so, the project will benefit the surrounding community and wildlife areas, ensuring a safer and more resilient landscape for both people and nature.
