Separate sealed bids are requested for Improvements to Lessie Moore Elementary. The Instructions to Bidders, Bid Form, Agreement Between Owner and Contractor, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents are available from Yeager, Watson & Associates, LLC upon receipt of a deposit. Electronic bid documents are also available for purchase from the architect's office or by membership to Plan Rooms (LAGC, ConstructConnect, Dodge, ISqFt) and CentralAuctionHouse.com (fees may apply). Bidders have the option to submit bids and bid bonds electronically by registering with Central Bidding. Each bidder must deposit with their bid security of at least five percent of the total bid price, provided on the specified form and subject to the conditions in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. Sureties must be acceptable per U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570. The contractor's license number and project name are required on the bid envelope. No bid may be withdrawn within forty-five days after opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Provisions and requirements in the bidding documents shall not be waived or considered informalities. The project consists of improvements to the existing Lessie Moore Elementary School located at 207 Griffith St, Pineville, LA 71360. The project is anticipated to be one lump sum Base Bid plus one Additive Alternate Bid for this project. The work includes: Base Bid: o Interior demolition and renovation of scheduled classroom into office space, creation of secure vestibule. o Patching existing wood gymnasium floor and refinishing entire gymnasium floor, replacement of two existing air handlers and associated work. o Reroofing existing roof as scheduled Alternate #1 Bid: o Roof A-2 Recovering: demo of existing roof and installation of new PVC roof and substrate.
