General work description: This project includes the complete municipal well rehabilitation process, including pre-rehabilitation assessment, initial mechanical cleaning, airlift well operations, swabbing and surge development, installation of carbon steel casing with perforated slotted sections, final development via airlift or pumping, post-rehabilitation testing, and the installation of pump and motor. All additional required activities shall be performed as necessary to ensure the municipal water well is fully functional. Demonstrated experience of rehabilitating municipal water wells is mandatory. All rehabilitation activities shall comply with AWWA guidelines and DWR Bulletin 74 and all applicable local well standards, including permit, inspection, and sealing requirements. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled City of California City - WELL#10 REHABILITATION PROJECT addressed to the City Clerk of California City. The envelope should be delivered by the date and time specified for bid opening as stated in the notice inviting sealed bids and must include the bidder's name. Bids received after the designated closing time will be returned unopened. The contractor shall possess a Class A or C-57 license at the time this contract is awarded. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990.
