Description

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Cherokee, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 35,000-square-foot, three-story above grade museum; for site work for a laboratory facility; laboratory facility; and museum.

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) is requesting statements of qualifications from construction management firms for the purpose of selecting a Construction Manager at Risk (CMR). The CMR will work alongside the design team during the development phase of the project and will be fully responsible for construction of the facilities once a final design is complete. The project is a two and a half story structure that will house archeological collections, laboratories, conservations labs and other resources to help preserve cultural resources. Indian preference (TERO) regulations apply to the bidding and award of this contract.
