The Mechanical Contractor shall assume the role of General Contractor and be responsible for coordination of all sub-trades and suppliers to deliver the scope of work. Summary Details SD62 Willway HVAC Upgrade Phase 02 Island EHS was engaged by School District #62 - Sooke to carry out a limited semi destructive hazardous materials investigation within select sections of Willway Elementary School, 2939 Mt Wells Dr, Victoria, British Columbia V9B 4T4. This investigation was conducted prior to HVAC upgrade in select locations. Scope of work to be provided by the Contractor generally includes, but is not limited to: .1 HVAC work: .1 Demolition as indicated on drawings. .2 (2) Packaged Rooftop Units .3 (6) Unit ventilators .4 (10) Hydronic coils .5 (4) Relief hoods .6 (1) Exhaust fan .7 Ductwork and other sheet metal work. .8 Hydronic piping and insulation. .9 Air and water systems balancing. .10 Hydronic system chemical treatment. .11 Seismic engineering and restraints. .12 System commissioning. .2 General Trades work: .1 Demolition as indicated on drawings. .2 Preparation of new openings in walls (refer to structural documents). .3 Retain building envelope consultants for design and review of new wall/roof openings. .4 Structural reinforcement (refer to structural documents). .5 Roofing. .6 Removal and replacement of ceilings. .7 All other scope as indicated within structural drawings and specifications. 3 Electrical work: .1 Demolition as indicated on drawings. .2 Electrical power to new mechanical equipment. .3 New electrical devices. .4 All other scope as indicated within electrical drawings and specifications. .4 Controls work: .1 Demolition as indicated. .2 New control wiring, conduits, sensors, valves, dampers, and hardware devices. .3 Programming of control sequences. .4 Graphics. .5 Hazardous Materials work: .1 The Owner will provide to the Contractor a hazardous materials assessment from a Qualified Consultant. .2 If hazardous materials abatement is required to perform the scope of work, the Contractor shall retain a Hazardous Materials Abatement Contractor and pay them using the available Cash Allowance. .3 The Contractor shall not disturb any building materials unless confirmed by the report to not contain hazardous materials.
