The work consists of providing and furnishing all materials, machinery, implements, appliances, and tools, and performing the work and required labor to construct and complete EB-5721 in the Town of Chapel Hill, for either unit or lump sum prices as bid, according to the proposal, plans, and specifications prepared by the Town of Chapel Hill. The construction and work must be done in accordance with the North Carolina Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures, January 2024 edition, with all amendments and supplements, under the direction of the Engineer. Quantities shown are approximate and may be increased or decreased as necessary. The bidder must provide all necessary contract payment and performance bonds within fourteen days after receipt of written notice of award. Accompanying each bid must be a bid bond or certified check for five percent of the total bid price, which is forfeited as liquidated damages if the required bonds are not provided after award. All bidders must comply with applicable laws regulating the practice of general contracting and obtain proper licensing if required. Bids must be received prior to the date and time listed in the request for bids.
