San Juan County is seeking public works bids for the application of approximately 315 miles (1,665,935 linear feet) of longitudinal line pavement markings on County roads on San Juan Island, Orcas Island, Lopez Island, and Shaw Island. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Plans and Provisions, and the Washington State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction, 2026 edition. Bid proposals shall be submitted on the forms provided, signed, and sent by email or in hard copy in a sealed envelope delivered to the Public Works office, no later than 2:00 P.M. on the specified due date. The County is not requiring a proposal guarantee or bid bond for this Small Works Roster bid process. Oral explanations, interpretations, or instructions given by anyone before the award of a contract will not be binding. Any information necessary for bidding will be issued as an Addendum. Any Amendments and/or Addenda to the bid documents will be emailed and posted online. San Juan County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the County's best interest. Bids will be subject to review and compliance with specifications. The successful bidder must meet all mandatory bidder responsibility criteria, maintain required insurance coverage, and comply with Washington State prevailing wage laws and tax requirements. A contract bond and retainage will be required.
