Renovation of a power facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.

This project encompasses the replacement of generators across multiple facilities, a new installation at a single site, and modifications to an existing unit at another location. The scope of work includes all necessary actions to deliver fully functional, automated backup power systems, including but not limited to the procurement of generators and automatic transfer switches (ATS), concrete construction, natural gas piping and boring, and electrical integration. Bidders are required to submit an Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP). The project qualifies for optional apprentice utilization, and contractors may attach an Apprenticeship Incentive Form (AIF) with their bid submission. A bid bond is required; acceptable substitutes are a certified check, an official bank check, a cashier's check from a national or state-chartered bank payable to the City of Omaha, lawful money of the United States, or a United States Government Bond. Letters of credit are not acceptable substitutes and would cause rejection of the bid. A copy of the bid bond or acceptable substitute must be uploaded in the Response Attachments section. Non-registered SEB (Small & Emerging Small Business) bidders may submit bids, but non-SEB authorized bids will only be considered if no SEB authorized bids are received. If SEB authorized bids are received, non-SEB authorized bids will automatically be rejected for failure to meet the SEB reserve requirements. Bidders must submit questions in the Questions tab of the bid event, and questions will be answered within one day of the cutoff date/time. Question Cuttoff Date 5/26/2026 2:00:00 PM All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing via the Ionwave Q&A platform. These will be logged, are public, and responses may be made public to all vendors via the Ionwave platform. Interpretations or clarifications leading to changes to the bidding documents will be formally addressed via Addenda. Questions received less than 8 calendar days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
