This Sources Sought seeks information to identify potential small business contractors capable of replacing an air handling unit (AHU) and associated components. The contemplated work includes demolition and installation involving mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and controls systems. The AHU is a rooftop unit supported on a raised galvanized steel frame and is cooling-only, supplied from an existing chiller plant. The scope includes replacement of the specified AHU, associated disconnect switches and conduit, and integration into the existing Automated Logic Controls system with demonstrated functionality at the EMSC workstation in Building B. The contractor shall provide commissioning services and a five-year full warranty covering parts and labor. Additional work includes replacement of all mechanical piping and components from the point of connection to the AHU, including control valves, actuators, flow valves, isolation valves, strainers, and gauges. Smoke duct detectors shall be replaced, and fire alarm testing performed. Exterior aluminum jacketed insulation shall be provided on piping and valves. Existing plenums shall be prepped and sealed at remaining joints using foil-faced butyl sealing tape. The PVC condensate line shall be replaced with copper Type K piping and aligned to the roof drain. Wood supports shall be replaced with rubber supports. The contractor shall prepare and submit a crane lift plan including required aviation and elevation data and shall submit an Aircraft Notification Submission to the FAA and obtain approval, allowing for a three-month review period in the project schedule.
