Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Hickory, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility.
The project consists, in general, of the construction of the Hickory Airport EMAS Wall as shown on the provided plans. Bidders, suppliers, and subcontractors may purchase contract documents from the Engineer for bidding purposes at a specified cost, which is not refundable. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for not less than 5% of the bid amount, payable to the Owner as a bid guarantee. Successful bidders will be required to provide a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Bids will be accepted only from bidders who are licensed general contractors in the State of North Carolina. Small, female, minority, and local contractors are encouraged to bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the actual bid opening date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of a bid, and to waive informalities and technicalities in the bid.
