Site work for a transportation facility in Sparta, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The work includes constructing a taxilane, including HMA pavement, restoration, and incidentals. Bidders are required to submit evidence of qualification in accordance with the General Contract Provisions 20-02. The prime contractor must possess MDOT prequalification at the time of bidding, or use a prequalified subcontractor for designated item classifications of “Ea” and “Cb”, designated prior to contract award. There is a Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal associated with this project. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check payable to the airport sponsor in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total price, binding the bidder for ninety (90) days after award notification. The selected contractor must provide required materials and execute the contract within fifteen (15) calendar days after receiving contract and bond forms, or the proposal guaranty will be forfeited. Each bidder must examine the site, all plans, provisions, specifications, and contract requirements. The Village of Sparta reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the most responsive and responsible bidder deemed to be in its best interest.
