The project generally consists of the resurfacing and reconstruction of W. 10th Street, from Avenue C to Broadway, E. 10th Street, from Broadway to Avenue E, W. 19th Street, from Avenue C to Broadway, E. 22nd Street from Broadway to Avenue E, E. 23rd Street, from Broadway to Avenue E, and Library Court, from E. 21st Street to E. 22nd Street, as delineated on the contract drawings. This includes, but is not limited to, Hot Mix Asphalt milling and/or pavement repairs, installation of new concrete curbs, sidewalk and ADA compliant curb ramps, installation of 2-inch thick Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course and 4-inch thick Hot Mix Asphalt 19M64 Base Course, storm/sanitary sewer structure improvements, and related work within the City of Bayonne, and all other associated work as contained in the contract documents or as ordered by the Engineer. Instructions to bidders: Bid proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with specific marking and bidder information. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00. Bidders must provide a certificate (Consent of Surety) for the full amount of the bid from an authorized Surety Company. All bidders are required to comply with registration and certification requirements, prevailing wage laws, and all State and Federal safety and equal employment regulations. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract based on available funds. The successful bidder must award 14% of the total contract price to subcontractors qualifying as Small Business Enterprises. All bid security will be returned according to the stated procedures.
