Site work and paving for a road / highway in Upper Macungie Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Upper Macungie Township for the 2026 Polymer Modified Crack Seal project for approximately 3,500 gallons. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to Upper Macungie Township in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of PennDOT Pub. 408. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in an amount equal to the Contract Price and meeting PennDOT Pub. 408 Section 103.04 requirements. Bidders must be PennDOT Prequalified per PennDOT Pub. 408 Section 102. Upper Macungie Township reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject, any or all Bids. The work is the cleaning and sealing of random cracks in existing bituminous pavements. Polymer Modified Crack Sealing shall be applied complete in place as per Attachments 1A and 1C. Apply sealants only after cracks are completely cleaned of dirt and debris by using compressed air of at least 100 psi. The air compressor shall be equipped with traps that will maintain the compressed air free of oil and water. All vegetation shall be removed prior to sealing using a motorized wire brush or other adequate means necessary.
