Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Montgomery, New York. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway and sidewalk / parking lot.
Asphalt and Catch Basin Repairs and Sidewalk Installation. The project is located in Orange County and Ulster County, New York. The Valley Central School District is seeking bids from qualified contractors to perform drainage structure repairs, concrete sidewalk reconstruction, and asphalt pavement restoration. Work includes the repair of three (3) existing catch basins, removal and replacement of deteriorated concrete sidewalk areas, and asphalt pavement repair in a high-traffic location. The Contractor shall coordinate work to maintain safe pedestrian and vehicular access and restore all disturbed areas to pre-construction condition or better. 1 Remove 12' x 40' (480 SF) area of asphalt top coat and replace with 1.5" NYSDOT Item No. 402.098203 2 Modification to existing cleanout. Refer to Scope A drawings (plans and details) 3 Remove 14' x 50' (700 SF) area of asphalt top coat and replace with 1.5" NYSDOT Item No. 402.098203 4 Remove 6' x 8' (48 SF) area of asphalt top coat around existing catch basin at corner of parking stall, replace with 1.5" NYSDOT Item No. 402.098203, and re-stripe parking lines (where disturbed) 5 Remove 6' x 8' (48 SF) area of asphalt top coat around existing catch basin at corner of parking stall and replace with 1.5" NYSDOT Item No. 402.098203, and re-stripe parking lines (where disturbed) 6 Heavy duty pavement replacement at standard catch basin in drive aisle. Refer to Scope B drawings (details) 7 Remove 6' x 20' (120 SF) area of asphalt top coat along curbing, replace with 1.5" NYSDOT Item No. 402.098203, and re-stripe fire lane (where disturbed) 8 Heavy duty pavement replacement at standard catch basin in drive aisle. Refer to Scope B drawings (details) 9 Remove 10' x 15' (150 SF) area of asphalt top coat in parking lot, replace with 1.5" NYSDOT Item No. 402.098203, and re-stripe parking lines (where disturbed) 10 Heavy duty pavement replacement at (2) two catch basins with concrete collar in drive aisle. Refer to Scope C drawings (details) 11 Remove 20' x 20' (200 SF) area of asphalt top coat in drive aisle around existing catch basin, replace with 1.5" NYSDOT Item No. 402.098203, and re-stripe parking lines/fire lane (where disturbed) 12 New concrete sidewalk and trench drain between existing Tennis Court and Concession Stand. Refer to Scope D drawings (plan and details) 13 New widened 35' X 50' (1,750 SF) asphalt path between existing walkway and end of track to replace grass/lawn area. Path to be full depth standard duty pavement. Install paving around existing electrical ground box and existing yard drain. Refer to Scope E drawings (detail) 14 New 8' X 8' (64 SF) asphalt path between existing walkway and running track through gate to replace dirt pathway. Path to be full depth standard duty pavement. Install paving between existing fence posts. Refer to Scope E drawings (detail) Final Questions Due: May 22, 2026, 7:00 a.m. All inquiries and communications regarding this RFB must be submitted in writing to: Brad Conklin Assistant Superintendent for Business / Purchasing Agent Valley Central School District 944 State Route 17K Montgomery, NY 12549 845-457-2400 ext. 18122 brad.conklin@vcsdny.org The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the following work: o Asphalt pavement repair totaling less than 1,000 square feet in a high-traffic area o Repair of three (3) existing catch basins o Additional concrete sidewalk work totaling approximately 870 square feet, to match existing thickness, finish, and alignment o Restoration of all disturbed areas to pre-construction condition or better One catch basin repair detail is included in this bid package and shall be considered representative. The remaining two (2) catch basin repair details will be shared via addendum; however, all catch basin repairs shall be completed in a similar manner, using the same materials, construction methods, and quality standards. The Contractor shall verify all existing field conditions and shall perform all work necessary to provide a complete, functional, and durable finished product. ASPHALT REPAIR o Saw-cut existing pavement to neat lines prior to removal o Restore pavement to match existing thickness, base conditions, and surface grade o Asphalt shall be suitable for high-traffic vehicular use o Provide proper compaction and smooth finished surface Approximate asphalt repair area included in base bid: less than 1,000 square feet.
