This project consists of construction of a new baseball stadium at Erdle Field to create a functional and accessible modern facility that meets NCAA baseball stadium requirements for intercollegiate operations. The existing press box and dugouts will be demolished and replaced with new concrete grandstands, a press box, restrooms, concessions, dugouts, and home team facilities. Home team facilities will include a new locker room for the USAFA baseball team with showers and restrooms, a replay booth, lounge space, a locker room for the USAFA baseball coaching staff with showers and restrooms, a satellite sports medicine training room, and an equipment mud room attached to the first base dugout. Construction will include concrete slab-on-grade and seat risers on grade, concrete retaining walls, structural steel framing with steel roof deck, exterior masonry load-bearing walls, concrete foundations, and concrete columns and roof structures. The scope also includes demolition of the existing 1,000 square foot press box and dugouts, reconstruction of approximately 10,000 square feet of total building area, limited work on the existing baseball field, and construction of a new access road entering the site from the east roadway to provide maintenance and emergency vehicle access to playing field level. The magnitude of this project is expected to range between $10,000,000.00 and $17,000,000.00. Project Period of Performance: 480 calendar days from construction NTP.
