Site work and paving for a road / highway in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
"2026 Bituminous Paving" project on various roads in Lower Towamensing Township includes the placement of 978 tons of 9.5mm Leveling Course at 90 lb/sy and 1,958 tons of 9.5mm Wearing Course at 180 lb/sy. All materials and workmanship are required to meet PENNDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders must be PENNDOT prequalified, and PA Prevailing Wages apply. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the Township and should be marked "2026 Bituminous Paving" Bid Proposal. Proposals, specifications, and bid information are available at the Township Municipal Building. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent of the bid, and the successful bidder must provide Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the contract amount within 20 days of contract award. The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or portions thereof, to delete projects or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints, and to waive any technicalities in the best interest of the Township.
