Sealed bids are requested from qualified, licensed firms to provide general construction services for the Johnson Court Community Center Renovation Project, located at 144 Birch St, Bristol, Virginia. The project involves repurposing an underutilized building into a dedicated neighborhood children's center offering structured, engaging activities for youth. Work also includes resurfacing and lighting the adjacent basketball court and upgrading the playground. Bidders must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and superintendence necessary to complete the project in a workmanlike manner to the satisfaction of Beyond Housing. All applicable state and local licensing and permit requirements must be met, and all subcontractors must comply as well. If a bid is $10,000 or more, compliance with Executive Orders 11246 and 11375, Equal Employment Opportunity, the Section 3 clause of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, and the Davis-Bacon wage decision is required. Bidders must also certify non-segregated facilities for employees. Beyond Housing reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in bids as deemed in their best interest.
