The work consists of remarking the existing markings for Runway 4/22 at Douglas Municipal Airport and includes crack sealing to help preserve the existing pavement. The construction duration is 10 consecutive calendar days and must be coordinated with the engineer, owner, and GDOT. All applicable FAA and GDOT requirements must be followed. Instructions to bidders include: - Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the owner. If mailed or delivered by another system, the sealed envelope should be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation "BID ENCLOSED for 'Runway Crack Seal & Remarking'" on the face. - Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or alternate security in the amount of 5% of the total contract value. - The successful bidder is required to furnish performance and payment bonds as stated in the contract documents. - Surety and insurance companies must meet certain ratings and licensing requirements. - Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after bid opening. - Federal requirements may apply, including Davis Bacon Act, Affirmative Action, Copeland Act, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, Buy American Preferences, and others. - By submitting a bid, the offeror certifies that steel and all manufactured products are produced in the United States, except as otherwise listed. - The owner reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids, or refrain from awarding the contract as deemed in the owner's best interest. - Bidders must comply with all applicable Georgia laws. - Award of contract is contingent upon availability of federal funding.
