Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in Covington, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project.
Project consists of demolition of the existing Intervale Lift Station building, demolition and replacement of the stand-by generator and appurtenances; removal and replacement of existing pumps, controls and appurtenances; and construction of a new composite wood-framed platform. Bids will be received for a General Contract (all trades). Bidders must submit sealed lump sum bids and comply with all Instructions to Bidders. Bid security of 10 percent of the bid amount is required. Bidders must be properly licensed and able to provide required insurance and bonds, including a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for 100 percent of the contract amount. Work must be completed within 180 days from the Notice to Proceed and is subject to liquidated damages. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening.
