Description

Renovation of a detention facility in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The project includes the removal and replacement of existing boiler equipment that services the county jail. Proposals must be submitted on the bid forms supplied in the project manual, and submission of oral, telegraphic, or telephonic proposals or modifications will not be considered. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Scott County in an amount equal to ten percent of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory labor and material payment bond, and performance bond. Bids may not be withdrawn within forty-five days after the scheduled time of opening bids without the consent of the owner. The owner reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. Substantial completion of the project is required before a specified completion date. Instructions require bidders to register as an online vendor with Public Purchase prior to the bid opening, and to download or request bid documents from American Reprographics Company, providing specific information for document requests. There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting, and hard copies of documents require a refundable deposit.
