The City of Dunedin, Florida, is seeking proposals from qualified firms for a solid waste and recyclables collection system. Proposals should include pricing for a five-day-per-week collection schedule, processing and marketing of the City’s recyclables, and on-call hauling services. The City’s Solid Waste Division currently collects solid waste from approximately 11,800 residential accounts within the incorporated city limits, providing weekly service using 90-gallon Roll Carts with automated side-loader trucks. Bulk material and yard waste are collected on the same day as garbage using rear-loader trucks. There are 41 households receiving backdoor service for medical or hardship reasons and approximately 80 residents serviced on historic roads and hard-to-service areas due to limited vehicle access.
